Accessibility Statement
Last updated: May 17, 2026.
whatpowerfor.com is committed to making this site usable for the widest possible audience. We target compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA from the W3C, and we test against that benchmark on every release.
What we have done
- Semantic HTML — proper heading hierarchy, landmark roles (
nav, main, footer), and lists where lists are appropriate - Color contrast — body text contrast 4.5:1 minimum against background; headings 4.5:1; interactive elements 3:1
- Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable via Tab; focus styles are visible
- Screen reader compatibility — images have descriptive alt text, form fields have associated labels, ARIA attributes (
aria-label,aria-expanded,aria-controls) used where semantic HTML is insufficient - Reduced motion — animations are minimal and respect
prefers-reduced-motion - Text resizing — page layout remains usable at 200% zoom and adapts to mobile viewports
Known limitations
Inline SVG diagrams in our guide articles include aria-label descriptions but a fully text-only summary would help users on text-only browsers or older screen readers. We are working on adding text-equivalent summaries to every diagram by Q3 2026.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you encounter a barrier using this site — anything from low-contrast text to a calculator that doesn't work with keyboard navigation — please email accessibility@whatpowerfor.com. Include the URL of the page and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and resolve them in the next release where feasible.
Standards and frameworks
This statement aligns with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and the EU Web Accessibility Directive (EN 301 549).
