General questions

Reading questions, product picks, sizing help, methodology questions — hello@whatpowerfor.com. If you're trying to decide between two units for a specific use case, include: where you live (peak sun hours matter), what you want to run and for how long, your budget ceiling. We don't recommend brands we wouldn't use ourselves, and we won't pretend a 500 Wh unit is right when you need 2,000 Wh.

Press, partnerships, and review samples

Press inquiries, sample requests for review, and partnership proposals — press@whatpowerfor.com. We do accept review samples but only on the explicit condition that the sample carries no editorial expectations. Any product covered must pass our standard testing protocol regardless of how it was obtained. Read the about page and methodology first to know our standards.

Affiliate program inquiries

If you operate a portable power station brand or retailer and want to add us to your affiliate program, email partnerships@whatpowerfor.com. We participate in Amazon Associates, manufacturer-direct programs (EcoFlow, Jackery, Bluetti, Anker SOLIX), and select networks (Impact, ShareASale, CJ).

Corrections and factual errors

Spotted a wrong spec or outdated price? Email corrections@whatpowerfor.com with the URL of the page and the correction (and a source if you have one). We treat corrections seriously — see our methodology page for our correction policy. Confirmed errors are fixed within 48 hours and noted in a changelog at the bottom of the affected page.

Privacy, data, and legal

Privacy rights requests (access, deletion, opt-out of sale), GDPR/CCPA requests, DMCA notices, and legal inquiries — legal@whatpowerfor.com. See our privacy policy for the full scope of rights we honor.

About the people behind this site

whatpowerfor is a small editorial publication. The people researching, testing, and writing here are Jane Chen (power station researcher, formerly battery storage engineering) and Marcus Kim (off-grid systems tester, full-time van life since 2019). We're not anonymous behind a brand mark; the work has names on it.

Response time

Most legitimate emails get a real human reply within 1-3 business days, never more than 7. We do not run automated chat agents and we do not outsource to call centers. If you don't hear back in 7 business days, please resend — your email may have hit a spam filter.
