Disclosures
Last updated: May 17, 2026.
This page is the canonical home for every disclosure we make to readers about how this site operates: where money comes from, how content is produced, who has reviewed it, where data comes from, and what limits apply to advice we publish.
Affiliate disclosure (FTC)
whatpowerfor.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. We also participate in affiliate programs operated by individual manufacturers including EcoFlow, Jackery, Bluetti, Anker SOLIX, Goal Zero, and similar.
When you click an outbound product link on this site marked as a partner link (typically labeled "Amazon" or "[Brand] direct" and tagged with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener") and complete a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Commission rates vary by program and category but typically range from 3% to 8% of the purchase price.
This commission income funds editorial salaries, hosting, testing equipment purchases, and the time required to maintain the database. It does not influence rankings, recommendations, or the Spec Reality Score, which is computed mechanically from real-world test data per our published methodology. We do not accept compensation in exchange for positive coverage, ranking placement, or specific recommendations.
Advertising disclosure
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may include ads from other third-party networks. These ads are clearly identifiable as advertising and are separate from our editorial content. Ad placements do not influence editorial decisions. See our privacy policy for details on how ad networks use cookies, and how to opt out.
Editorial independence
Editorial decisions — what to cover, how to score it, what to recommend — are made by our authors (Jane Chen and Marcus Kim) independent of advertisers or affiliate partners. No manufacturer has approval rights over coverage. We accept review samples only on the condition that no editorial expectations are attached; samples are returned or kept for ongoing testing as appropriate.
Product image attribution
Product photographs displayed on this site are sourced from manufacturer official press images (EcoFlow, Jackery, Bluetti, Anker SOLIX). They are used for editorial review purposes in accordance with fair use principles. Original copyright remains with the respective manufacturers. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about a specific image, contact legal@whatpowerfor.com.
Data sources
Device specifications come from manufacturer official spec sheets, cross-referenced with Amazon product listings. Real-world test data is sourced from independent reviewers, primarily YouTube channels (Hobotech, Will Prowse, Project Farm) and professional labs (OutdoorGearLab, TechRadar). Each tested device's product page lists its specific test sources in the "real-world tests" section.
Data accuracy
Manufacturer specifications change. Firmware updates can alter real-world behavior. Prices fluctuate daily. We update data regularly (specs weekly, prices daily where possible), but you should always verify the latest specification sheet from the manufacturer before making a purchase decision. Spotted an error? Email corrections@whatpowerfor.com.

Information on this site is for general educational purposes. It is not a substitute for professional advice.

We make a good-faith effort to publish accurate, current information, but we provide it "as is" without warranty of any kind. See our Terms of Service for the formal limitation of liability.
